Thank you, “Theatre Guy!”

After what was already a beautiful, well-attended and successful Trivia Fundraiser with Mack Flash Entertainment on Saturday night, we at Riverfront Theatre Company were stunned and overwhelmed by an anonymous donation of $10,000 toward our fundraising initiative for the purchase of wireless microphones.

Our donor tells us that he attended our production of Sister Act Jr in January, as well as our fundraiser on Saturday night, of course. He told us that, though he’d always been more of a sports guy, he was thoroughly impressed with the talent of our kids, their team work and chemistry, and how our team pulled it all together for an outstanding performance. He said that from now on, he’s a “Theatre Guy.”

We are deeply grateful to Theatre Guy for his recognition and support of the work we are doing together in youth theatre in our community.

With the fundraising we have already done, this very generous donation, and the two fundraisers coming up in March and April – we will be able to move forward with the purchase of several microphones for our students to use in upcoming productions.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We are so looking forward to bringing you Shrek the Musical in May.
