RTC’s FROZEN JR Opens This Weekend!

On Friday, February 21, 2020 at noon, the 54 students in the cast of Frozen Junior will take the stage before their somewhat impromptu audience pulled together in a “Strike Show” once news of the province-wide strike was announced. We anticipate a crowd of at least 200, based on pre-sales. The kids have been in rehearsal all week.

Fifty-four students between the ages of 6 and 18 – it’s a big endeavour! They’ve been rehearsing since September, for this show, and for our upcoming production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which will run the last two weekends of May, also at the Olde Walkerville Theatre.

This is family-friendly entertainment. We find that young people in the audience tend to feel pretty inspired, seeing what our young people are doing on the stage. The show runs a little over an hour, with an intermission for stretching and refreshments.

We have four shows for the rest of the weekend.

Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. are regular shows.
Saturday we have a Singalong matinee performance at 2 p.m. – a good option for the wigglier members of your family who need to participate!

We’ll close with another matinee on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets on Friday are a flat $10 each.

For the rest of our shows, prices are $15 for adults, $10 for under 18.

We’ll have a bake sale operating by donation starting on Friday evening, and a photo booth, along with a chance to meet the cast members.

Here are a few sneak pics from our rehearsals!
