Today was a wonderful day, as we moved into our new rehearsal home at Paulin Memorial Church! Â Apart from our Pride and Prejudice Marathon on December 29th, the kids had suffered separation from one another through the Christmas holidays, and had a lot of catching up to do.
The new building was a big hit with everyone. We have SO much room to move around. Only our dance/big rehearsal space is showing here. We have even more room than this, and we’re pretty excited about it, and our warm welcome from the church. We’re so very grateful!
The kids were ready to get down to work and start running scenes. In our other room, as kids weren’t needed for an individual scene, we had a homework club/individual line practice going.
Meanwhile, Jeff was switching hats away from vocal instruction for Aladdin songs, into coaching for individuals in line delivery for both plays, which was great – working on some particular techniques for everyone to enunciate, project, and find some specific characterisation points. Â Good progress was made!
We had our typically super-busy day, but lots of laughter, and fun, and hard work.
As usual, the camera got put down fairly early in the day, so this is only a tiny sampling of our busy crew. But it’s GOOD TO BE BACK, and we’re excited to gear up into our last six weeks before Pride and Prejudice opens at the Olde Walkerville Theatre!
