The Prince of Egypt is a sweeping epic musical featuring music and lyrics by Grammy and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz, a book by Philip LaZebnik, and ten new songs written by Schwartz in addition to five songs from the original DreamWorks Animation film. The production also includes the Academy Award-winning song, “When You Believe.”
The story follows Ramses and Moses, two young men raised together as brothers in a life of privilege, who ultimately find themselves divided by a hidden past. One must rule as Pharaoh, while the other must rise to free his people — both facing destinies that will change history forever.
